About Me

My name is Jenea Gaston Molden, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and the Owner and Operator of The Balancing Bar with experience in empowering individuals to find healing, growth, and success. I have nine years of extensive clinical experience with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families in schools, private practice, judicial, healthcare, college, outpatient, and inpatient treatment settings. I have impeccable background in utilizing the latest evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused and cognitive therapy, and advanced knowledge in brief therapy and solution-focused child and young counseling methods. I specialize in Anxiety and Depression Disorders. I have extensive experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Life Stage Transitions, Grief, and Relationships. My focus population is teens, couples, adult individuals, and families.

The Balancing Bar was created out of my own lessons as I struggled with Perfectionism. Everything had to be perfect! And that is just unrealistic. With the help of my personal therapist, I eventually learned that the idea of perfectionism is self-abuse. I began to change the word Perfect to Satisfied. I am not saying to substitute satisfaction for everything. We can't just go through life with minimal expectations of ourselves and put forth little effort in completing tasks to say that it is complete. However, we do need to draw the line somewhere.

As a Counselor, I am here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters in a safe and supportive environment. I truly care about my clients' well-being and guarantee top-of-the-line counseling and psychological services catered to their needs.

Individual well-being is my number one priority, and I go above and beyond to help them through all their obstacles. Get in touch with me today for more information.
